There is nothing as scary as submitting your new music to reviewers and waiting for their verdict to arrive in your inbox ... months of hard work culminates in something you're proud enough to release into the world then you sit back and wait... Does anyone like it?
So when the reviews start coming back and they're actually GOOD, you're not only relieved, you're ecstatic!
I am so grateful to the lovely reviewers who have taken the time to listen to the album in full, and the write their (kind) words about it down, and I wanted to share some of them here...
Music News (Andy Snipper) has stated "Yes, this is rock and it is based around guitar and female vocals but she sounds like a more experienced and more nuanced singer than most. Add to that, husband Alex White’s guitar riffs and detailed lead playing and you are definitely hearing a top class rock band....On the basis of this album she actually sounds as though she could become a major artist in the next couple of years."
Music Talks (Ghostly Beard) said "You can hear that Verity, along with her band members, and served by a great production, opened her soul and shared her life in this album and reaffirms, if needed be, her place as a leading lady with the potential to storm the new wave of indie rock. It starts right now, ladies and gentlemen, and you will be able to say: “I was here when it all started”."
And also the lovely Desert Island Cloud (Chris Leon) made me their featured artist for March wrote "with Reclaim; Set Fire, Verity White definitely established her name in the indie scene and beyond and promises a lot of the future."
SO MUCH WOW!
If you haven't heard the new music yet, its already out on CD (there are only about 10 of the first pressing left though!) in my store and also on my Bandcamp page. And will be on streaming from March 8th!
