Hey lovers! A few weeks ago I wrote what has become one of my most visited blog posts entitled "Things Musicians Don't Know They're Doing To Make Their Social Media Not So Good" - people seemed to like it and the advise I gave, and within it I promised a follow up - so here it is! Here's a few more Veebear Top Tips! 1. Don't Sell - You know when you go into a shop and you're pounced upon by the salespeople "can I help you" and 99% of the time you just want to be left alone? Well extrapolate that to social media - the clue's in the name really - people are on there to make friends and find out about new stuff and well, be social! So, don't be out there posting every BUY MY SHIT every 5 minutes, let them get to know you, and what you're about and if they're interested then you never know, some sales might come. 2. It's Not All About The Numbers - Although when browsing at someone's profile a high follower count can look impressive, it's actually not about that, when potential opportunities/ sales/ agents /brands are looking at what you do and considering opportunities to work with you it's all about the quality of your audience engagement. Click Farms are your worst enemy, they dilute the good audience with 'people' that don't actually exist and so you actually end up losing audience rather than gaining anything (this is the same on al social media platforms.) 3. Appreciate Everything - be grateful for everyone and everything that comes your way. Complacency is the ruiner of so many up and coming artists these days - they expect things to come to them just by being there but show no gratitude or reciprocation back in return. I genuinely love and appreciate every single like post click, retweet that I get - and from that interaction and appreciation people grow to know and trust you - it makes you a more exciting prospect to support when you do have something to put out there and want sharing!
So, that's it for now, please comment below to let me know anything you'd like to chat about on the next one, or any questions you have and I'll be so super happy to help!
Oh, and if you want to check out my music then feel free ;) (see what I did there, little bit of sales ;) ) Hugs and love Vxx
