OUT OF CONTROL OUT OF CONTROL Let it all go, Let it all go You're not on your own, not on your own So OUT OF CONTROL, OUT OF CONTROL
When you think you got it all laid out And there's nothing left to talk about Swipe left and it is all undone Who's telling who's the lucky one?
I've gotta feeling, you're gonna be reeling when you start seeing what you're missing, some kissing and some marital blissing. Oh I ain't lying, I'm not sympathising, but you're trying to hard and I ain't buying, No I ain't buying
So tell me where this leaves us now? What's left that you will still allow? I can't see things form your point of view It's time for me to start anew
Coz now I'm seeing that you're gonna be leaving, I can't believe it but I feel it, Even if I really don't need it. But I'll stay standing, alone in abandon, coz I don't need a companion. And I'm tired of our misunderstandings.
I've had enough I'm gonna rise above It's time to turn this up Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah!) CHORUS Guitar solo
I've had enough I'm gonna rise above It's time to turn this up Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah!)
Hola again my loves, how goes it?
For #3 in the Behind the Lyrics series I'm gonna take you into TURN THIS UP! Now, there are a LOT of words in this lyrically complex break up song! But I think the story is kinda clear. It's about a person, who's fucked up and pissed off their other half way too many times - and they've had enough. They know their better then how they've been treated and want to start again with someone new.
As for inspirations - well it's a true story of so many of our failed relationships am I right? But it's also about how we can stand up for ourselves and be stronger than we think we could when face with situations like this - we have the power and strength to get out of bad situations. I want to help inspire that strength in others through this song. GO KICK ARSE! ( As a side note - I would like to point out this is NOT about lovely husband producer type Alex who is an absolute darling and indeed a totally wonderful human being :) )
This is also one of the three that has a little guitar solo in there... we were going to use synths originally in all these mixes but when we came to adding the incidentals they just didn't need them, so strategic tambourine is really the only additional piece of instrumentation from writing to releasing!
