We're halfway through the run of 'Alchemy' shows, and I'm very happy to report that it's going wonderfully well! The local papers have reported it as a huge success, with fantastic music and great performances from all involved. I'm so happy to have been part of this! AND for more NEWS - we have a run confirmed in London next year, late August I think, I shall report more when I know more, but I shall be there. Just off the West End... I never thought I'd ever be able to get a part in a show around there... it's dream come true.
The photo (left) is my costume for some of my chorus scenes in the show, taken backstage in the glamorous ladies dressing room. My lead role costume (below) is quite a contrast in comparison, so much so that people haven't recognised me in the 'green room' afterwards... one lady remarked 'oh you looked a lot taller on stage... perhaps I should dress as a Victorian housekeeper more often! Anyway, it's been such fun, I going to me super sad when the shows tonight are over, but before that we have the matinee, which is lead by the understudy cast, who are such a lovely a talented bunch (including my very own Alex White as the lead male - PROUD doesn't cover it!)... and then the final show tonight to another sell-out audience, and the after-show soiree which should be splendid.
Thanks and love to Clive Nolan for writing this wonder price of musical theatre and for giving me the opportunity to perform in it.
